Cat colony manager

The challenge

Progat Catalunya (a non-profit organisation), in collaboration with the municipal councils, works on the protection and defence of cats living in the street, especially in the management of colonies.

Objectives

• Improve the quality of life of the cats in the colonies. 
• Improve the management of cat colonies: location of colonies, control of the cat population, identification of feeders, monitoring of sterilisations and veterinary care, through the development of a web application for the coordinators of the associations.
• Improve communication between councils and associations.

The result

• Cats can be handled more and more.
• Better communication between municipal councils and associations.
• Allows associations to spend time assessing tasks by automating more routine tasks.
• Improved coordination of feeders.
• Better access to colony information in real time by having maps.
