Context

Bicibox is an innovative secure parking solution for bicycles and other personal mobility vehicles, designed by the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB). Using the mobile app, users can locate, check availability of spaces and navigate to the nearest Bicibox parking stations.

Objectives

The main objective of the Bicibox app is to facilitate sustainable mobility in the AMB, offering users a convenient and safe solution for parking bicycles, scooters and other vehicles.

Results provided

Currently, 3,73k users use the Android app, and 2,8k users use the iOS app.

The design of Bicibox has been unified with that of the AMB Mobility app, creating a simple, usable and recognisable corporate style that users can easily identify with AMB.

With the new version, it facilitates the incorporation of new users to the service from the mobile phone itself, offering a more intuitive and accessible experience. All payments related to the service are made through secure payment gateways within the application itself. In addition, the messaging and notification system improves communication with users, offering relevant information immediately.
